 Popularity of the thriller genre

Victoria is a historical Thriller tv drama that is mainly targeted at people over the age of 30 due to the sophistication of the content and Language included in the tv show. Victoria focuses on Victorias life from the point of her becoming queen to the point of her marrying prince Albert and beyond. For a Historical thriller tv drama, it contains deep political elements that’s not likely to attract a younger audience and there are various topics included in the show that only a mature target audience would be able to handle. Although, it contains many mature themes that would definitely attract an older and more mature audience, it portrays these themes in such a way that it could appeal to Teenagers of all ages too through the portrayal of Victoria, who’s a young teenager throughout the first season, possibly appealing to young and older teenage girls, who might see this version of Victoria as a powerful role model and could potentially inspire these girls to not be intimidated by those few emotionally abusive and controlling men, who unfortunately exist in this current day and age

You is a psychological thriller Tv Drama is about a man called Joe Goldberg, a bookstore manager, who quickly becomes obsessed with an aspiring writer and does everything that he can to insert himself into her life. The following seasons show Joe becoming obsessed with new love interests and tells the viewers that there is something wrong with him as a person, and his encounters with his love interests often lead to deadly consequences.   it’s aimed at viewers over the age of 18 due to the extreme, gruesome content included throughout the episodes. This is accompanied by various serious themes, like toxic masculinity, the dangers of technology, stalking, and obsession, which only justifies why it’s aimed at this particular group of people due to the violence and bloody imagery needed to encompass these themes. People over the age of 18 can cope with these themes better than a teenager or a child due to their emotional maturity and ability to not reenact things that happen in this type of tv show. Whereas, if a child or a younger teenager watched this programme, it would either traumatize them or even worse effect their development and could lead them into thinking what the mentally ill protagonist did in the show is acceptable in the real world and this might motivate them to attempt what they’re seeing on screen in real life, leading to deadly consequences for the world.

24

24 is a political thriller tv drama, where each season takes place in a period of 24 hours across 24 episodes in each season. Jack Bauer is the head of field ops for an elite team of CTU agents, who discover an assassination plot aimed at a potential president candidate, David PalmerThis show’s primary target audience was predominantly adult males, considering the violence and mature content included in the tv Drama. The secondary Target audience of this tv Drama would be Male teenagers, as it contains a lot of violence and bloody imagery that a Mature Teenager would now be able to handle, as they’ve had enough time to develop some emotional Maturity and will not respond to the show with the urge to carry out those violent and unjust acts seen on screen. Although, this show could be targeted at Mature and Teenage Females, the show has been criticized in the past for its misogyny and sexist portrayals of gender stereotypes through male characters, who have been portrayed as hypermasculine and female characters, who have been portrayed as physically and emotionally weak. Some fans have gone so far, as to think that there was an out-of-date link between the female characters and the “Damsel in Distress” stereotype.
